Team Europcar at the recent Mzansi Tour

This is my site where you can read about my latest adventures in the world of cycling and biking. Come and see me at Cycle Lab in Fourways, the largest cycling retailer in SA, come for a chat about your passions for cycling, and we will share ours with you.

You will find news of my races, with our Toyota SuperCycling Academy and the young talented riders that I ride with. Also see my other interest - touring. Preferably on my mountain bike through some fantastic mountain scape or African bush, infested with the wild, as only Southern Africa can offer!

Please take a look at my galleries of races and tours, many images have been taken by me, but the great ones have been taken by some of my friends, Wayne Hayward, Craig Dutton, or many others that I hope I have credited. Cycling is a splash of colour in a multitude of backgrounds and sharing our experiences with others can only partly be done by good pictures, for the entire taste you have to have been there!

Once, a man rode his Bicycle across the border to Lesotho. The Customs Official checked out this man, who had a bag of sand on his pannier. Suspicious, the Customs Official asked the man to empty the bag, determined to see if there was anything but sand in the bag, which there wasn't. This went on week after week, but never found anything but sand in the bag. One day, at the bar in the town, the Customs Official, having a drink, came across the man in Question. He eventually had to ask: "What have you been taking across the border in your bag of sand? I know it is something, but can never get to the bottom of it?" The man, looked at the customs official, and replied. " I have been smuggling Bicycles!"...

My sons are getting bigger, and riding a few bikes which will probably get busier soon. Hopefully Di can also get riding soon again, and we can discuss some objectives for the coach!...
